This travel temporary assignment is in a hospital setting with an inpatient rehabilitation focus. The role supports adults on an acute rehab unit, providing nursing care, rehabilitation education, and collaboration with the care team to meet patient goals.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult patients on an inpatient rehabilitation unit using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor responses and report adverse effects
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, vital signs, and changes in condition; communicate with the multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other caregivers to develop and adjust individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, rehabilitation expectations, and discharge planning
- Ensure patient safety and mobility; utilize lifts and assistive devices; may assume charge nurse duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active registered nursing license in New York
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
- Traveler must have completed at least 1 prior traveler assignment
