Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process across assigned hospital departments
- Provide break relief and supplemental staffing to RNs in Emergency, Medical-Surgical/Swing Bed, and Skilled Nursing units as needed
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with attention to safety and quality
- Demonstrate ongoing competency and participate in required updates and education
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team and respond to patient care needs in a timely manner
- Document nursing care accurately and maintain compliance with unit policies
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered California RN license
- BLS for Healthcare Providers, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of one year acute care experience within the past two years; 6 months recent Emergency or Critical Care experience
- Ability to work in multiple departments as trained; flexibility for assignment needs
- English proficiency; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
