Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including medication administration, treatment delivery, and ongoing monitoring.
- Assess residents, document findings, and report changes to the supervising RN to support appropriate care planning.
- Administer prescribed medications and ensure accurate, timely documentation in resident charts.
- Perform routine nursing procedures and assist with wound care, dressing changes, and activities of daily living as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust individualized care plans.
- Maintain infection control, safety, and privacy standards while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care.
Requirements
- Current LPN license in the State of New Mexico
- Graduate of an approved practical nursing program
- Prior long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with charting and basic nursing procedures in a fast-paced setting
