Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanner to perform diagnostic CT examinations per department protocol; position and immobilize patients as needed
- Adjust imaging parameters, reconstructions, and technical factors to achieve diagnostic-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure
- Review scans for adequate coverage and image quality; communicate findings with radiologists and other team members
- Maintain accurate documentation and labeling of images; ensure proper data entry into patient records and PACS
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA) and infection control, performing routine equipment checks and reporting malfunctions
- Coordinate with the care team to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure
Requirements
- Availability to work a rotating schedule including days and evenings
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment
- Ability to perform CT imaging in a hospital setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with imaging data entry and basic computer tasks
