Travel Registered Nurse PICU Job
Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks. 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range $2,100–$2,174. This assignment requires pediatric cardiac care experience and telemetry skills, with rotating day/evening/night coverage and on-call/callback as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for pediatric patients with complex congenital or acquired cardiac conditions in the PICU
- Monitor critical vital signs and telemetry, interpret data, respond to changes, and escalate as needed
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and vasoactive medications per physician orders; manage invasive lines and tubes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, respiratory therapy) to develop and implement care plans
- Participate in rounds, document assessments and progress, and educate families on care plans and discharge needs
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining family-centered care in a high-acuity environment
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York (NY RN License only)
- Pediatric Cardiac Care experience required (minimum 2 years)
- BLS, PALS, ACLS (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification required
- Telemetry experience required
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating days/nights and on-call as required
Education
- Registered nursing degree; active NY RN license
