Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel assignment in Aspen, Colorado. Start date: 06/15/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay is $2,035 to $2,084. Shift schedule is 3x12-hour daytime shifts. Setting: hospital-based respiratory care across age groups, with diverse patient needs. Responsibilities
- Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and deliver all modalities of respiratory care from basic to advanced across newborn to geriatric patients.
- Manage ventilator support, airway clearance therapies, and monitor patient response; adjust treatments per protocol and clinical judgment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient areas to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide care for high-risk deliveries and neonates when indicated; respond to respiratory emergencies and provide rapid assessments.
- Ensure safe equipment operation, perform routine calibrations, troubleshoot alarms, and uphold infection control standards.
- Document assessments, treatments, and responses in the electronic medical record; educate patients and families as appropriate.
Requirements
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP) required.
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Minimum 2 years of well-rounded RT experience with a diverse patient population.
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Not accepting any RTO (time off) requests during the assignment.
- Must be healthy enough to safely function in a high-altitude environment (8,000 feet elevation).
