Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 07/13/2026 for an approximate 13-week rotation. Weekly pay range: $1,900–$2,009 per week. Shift: 3x12 nights. Work setting: hospital-based emergency department. This position is represented by CNA.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the ED, including triage, initial treatment, and discharge planning for patients from newborns to geriatrics.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, assist with procedures, and initiate appropriate interventions under physician direction.
- Perform ongoing assessment of vital signs, responses to treatment, and escalation of care when clinical status changes.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including support staff, to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure clear handoffs during transitions of care.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, uphold infection prevention practices, and provide education to patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse license (active)
- Emergency department nursing experience preferred
- Graduation from an accredited RN program
- Ability to work nights on a three-shift schedule and perform in a fast-paced ED environment
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- This position is represented by CNA
