Registered Nurse – Emergency Room, travel assignment in Los Angeles, California. Start date 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12) with a weekly pay range of $1,828–$1,957. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for hospice patients with ER-related needs, following medical orders and care plans.
- Assess clinical status, monitor vitals, identify changes, and intervene or escalate to the physician as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments, perform basic procedures, and document care accurately in the patient record.
- Manage symptoms, including pain control and comfort measures, in alignment with palliative care guidelines.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to update care plans, communicate patient needs, and support families/caregivers with education and resources.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (or current eligibility to obtain CA licensure)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Certification: BLS required; ACLS preferred or within 90 days of start
- Experience: 2+ years of ER or equivalent acute care experience
- Ability to work in a home healthcare – hospice setting and to perform required nursing duties in patient homes
- Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and travel as part of a temporary travel assignment
