Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to geriatric residents in a long-term care setting, per plan of care and physician orders
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in resident status
- Perform ongoing assessments, identify concerns, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic wound care, safety interventions, and falls prevention
- Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies using established protocols; ensure accurate incident reporting
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and collaborate with licensed peers and caregivers
Requirements
- Active North Carolina LPN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of geriatric LPN experience
- Experience in a long-term care setting preferred
- Ability to work night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) with rotating weeks; weekend rotation as scheduled
- Floating to other units may be required
- Local candidates preferred to support housing and commute needs
