Responsibilities
- Provide direct emergency nursing care to adults, and when needed, pediatric and geriatric patients, following ER protocols
- Monitor patients and interpret vital signs and telemetry; identify rhythm disturbances and initiate appropriate interventions
- Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments; document patient responses
- Assist with ED procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care, imaging support) and manage patient flow and throughput
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ED team; communicate clearly with patients’ families; plan discharge or admission as indicated
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record; uphold safety standards and participate in on-site debriefings and quality initiatives
Requirements
- Active MA registered nurse license at time of submission, or temporary MA license accepted
- Required: ACLS and BLS; PALS or ENPC preferred; TNCC certification
- Minimum 2 years ER or high-acuity acute care experience
- Availability for 3x12-hour night shifts; must be able to start on 08/04/2026
- Must pass on-boarding testing: telemetry ECG and medications tests on day one at orientation, with an 85% passing score on a single attempt
- No local travelers; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment site
