Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm assessment; respond to changes per protocol
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; perform assessments and document in the electronic health record
- Interpret telemetry data and collaborate with physicians and the care team; escalate abnormal findings promptly
- Facilitate patient education, discharge planning, and coordination with family or caregivers
- Maintain unit safety, infection control, and adherence to policies; participate in shift handoffs and care planning

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (unrestricted)
- Minimum 2 years Med Surg Telemetry experience; ability to pass Telemetry Competency Exam
- ACLS and BLS certifications; AHABLS certification
- Onboarding requirements: pass/fail ECG/telemetry and medications tests; 85% passing threshold; one attempt; completes within 48 hours of offer
- Non-local travel requirement: must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment site; weekends and holidays required
- Orientation is biweekly; capable of working in a hospital Med Surg Telemetry setting; knowledge of critical pathways; charge nurse experience preferred
