- Unit: 20-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) with adult cardiac and stroke patients
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult cardiac and stroke patients on a 20-bed MS/Tele unit
- Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and manage dysrhythmias
- Perform phlebotomy and IV insertion; oversee IV therapies and access
- Administer medications and provide oxygen therapy; non-invasive airway management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Transport, Unit Secretary) and document in Epic
Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year recent RN experience
- Proficient in phlebotomy and IV insertion; dysrhythmia interpretation
- Epic charting experience
- First-time travelers accepted; willing to float to MS/ICU/ED within scope; candidates within 75 miles not accepted
