Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adult neuro/PCU patients, including frequent neurologic assessments
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage IVs, and respond to clinical changes
- Perform NIHSS assessments as part of neuro status monitoring and escalate findings per protocol
- Document all care in EPIC with accurate, timely charting; communicate with the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and therapy services to coordinate care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and safety measures

Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing; Nursys verification required
- Minimum 2 years of Neuro/PCU or step-down experience
- NIHSS documentation in CV packet; NIHSS competency required
- ACLS and BLS certifications; EPIC EMR experience
- Education: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program
- Ability to work night shift and weekend shifts; able to work in a hospital setting
- Profile must include: work history/resume with gaps no greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, certification card
