Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse, PCU (Neuro/Neuro-Stepdown) in Atlanta, GA. Start date June 15, 2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 2x3 nights shift. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult neuro/PCU patients, focusing on neuro status monitoring and safety
- Perform frequent neuro assessments and NIHSS as part of patient monitoring; escalate changes promptly
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including IV infusions and anticoagulation as indicated; monitor for adverse effects
- Conduct ongoing assessments, implement and adjust care plans, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including neurology, case management, and wound/telemetry teams
- Manage lines, drains, telemetry, and equipment; enforce safety protocols and accurate, timely documentation in the EPIC system
- Support patient transfers and discharge planning in coordination with the care team and family when appropriate
Requirements
- Education: Graduation from an approved nursing program; current Georgia RN license
- Licenses/Certifications: Georgia RN license; NIHSS certification in CV packet required; ACLS recommended or required per notes; BLS required; EPIC EMR experience
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in PCU/neuro or med-surg with neuro/step-down exposure
- Profile materials: Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, Skills Checklist, References, Certification Card, Nursys License Verification; load demographic information into profile and include badge-appropriate photo
- Additional: Must be able to work the 2x3 night shift; start date and travel requirements align with the assignment
