Travel assignment for an Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) in surgical services, Plattsburgh, NY. Start date 06/01/2026 for 13-16 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,684-$1,742 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Setting: hospital operating room.

- On-call and weekend coverage: On-call 1 night per week; rotating weekends every 3rd–4th weekend; up to 1 holiday per year
Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub as applicable for vascular, orthopedics, robotics, general, ENT, plastics, and neuro cases
- Prepare the sterile field, set up instrumentation, assist with patient positioning and draping
- Maintain sterile technique, manage instrument counts, and support case turnover between cases
- Assist anesthesia and nursing staff; monitor intraoperative events and document per protocol
- Float between OR units and ASC as needed; support cross-unit coverage and equipment readiness
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
Requirements
- Active New York licensure for OR tech (as indicated)
- NBSTSA Surgical Tech certification verification or equivalent, plus current BLS
- Approximately 2 years of OR tech or related clinical experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Must have vascular skills; ability to circulate and scrub; strong knowledge across ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital OR environment and float to ASC as assigned
- EPIC documentation familiarity preferred
