Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg telemetry unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
- Monitor telemetry data, respond to alarms, and escalate changes in patient status per unit protocols
- Administer medications and therapies safely, document accurately, and ensure timely documentation of patient records
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Demonstrate leadership as a Level II RN when appropriate (may serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member)
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes while adhering to standards of practice and facility policies
Requirements
- Active New York RN license (NY license only)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Ability to work in an inpatient Med-Surg/telemetry setting and rotate shifts
- Education: Current RN licensure in New York
