Responsibilities
- Prepare the cath lab environment, ensure sterile setup, arrange necessary equipment, and assist with patient positioning before procedures.
- Assist cardiology teams during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including device setup and monitoring.
- Monitor patient hemodynamics, vital signs, and pain/sedation levels during and after procedures; recognize and respond to changes promptly.
- Administer medications as ordered and within policy, monitor patient responses, and document administration according to protocol.
- Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure proper charge capture and compliance with documentation standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and nursing colleagues to ensure patient safety, procedure efficiency, and effective handoffs to recovery staff.
Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license prior to start
- Ability to take frequent on-call shifts, including consecutive weekends
- Willingness to work a 5x8 days schedule with 32 guaranteed hours per week
