Responsibilities
- Provide direct critical care to adult MICU patients, delivering comprehensive assessments and interventions.
- Monitor ventilatory status and hemodynamics; manage vasoactive medications and other complex therapies per protocol.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update care plans, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
- Manage invasive lines and devices (arterial/central lines) with strict adherence to infection control, safety, and documentation standards.
- Document care activities and updates in the electronic medical record; communicate changes promptly to the care team and physicians.
- Collaborate with families and the healthcare team to ensure patient comfort, safety, and timely transition of care when appropriate.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license to practice in the United States (state not specified).
- BSN degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU/MICU or equivalent high-acuity experience.
- Ability to work 7:00 PM–7:00 AM night shifts; 3x12-hour shifts.
- Must be willing/able to work every other weekend (EOW) and participate in a 13-week assignment under the Local Contract program.
