Registered Nurse (Med Surg) – Travel assignment in Dundee, Kansas. Start date 07/26/2026 for an estimated 13-week contract. Weekly pay range: $1,843–$1,945 per week. No guaranteed hours. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including drips such as heparin, insulin, amiodarone, and Cardizem, per protocol.
- Monitor vital signs and lab results; interpret rhythm strips, respond to changes, and escalate as indicated.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure clear communication and safe handoffs.
- May float within scope to the ED to support patient care when needed, maintaining patient safety during transitions.
Requirements
- Active KS RN license or Compact license
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- 1 year of hospital Med-Surg experience
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour day schedule; weekend rotation (2 per month), on-call (1 shift per month), and holiday rotation
- Willingness to float within scope to ED as needed
