Responsibilities
- Provide direct, professional nursing care for patients across all ages in the emergency department, including neonatal through geriatric patients as assigned
- Triage, treat, and coordinate rapid assessment and interventions based on the patient’s condition and the medical plan of care
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team to develop and implement the plan of care
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust care in collaboration with the care team
- Educate patients and families, perform discharge planning, and arrange appropriate follow-up
- Delegate appropriate tasks to other nursing staff (per their scope of practice and competence) to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
- Document care accurately and maintain patient safety, privacy, and infection control standards
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- 3x12-hour shift availability (days) and ability to work in an ER/acute care setting
- Travel nursing assignment readiness
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and manage care for patients across age groups
