This travel assignment places you on a 12-hour night shift in a med/surg/telemetry unit staffed for telemetry care. The role requires recent Telemetry experience and the ability to manage patients with varying acuity while maintaining patient safety and high-quality care. EPIC will be used for documentation, and onboarding includes non-billable orientation.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry med/surg unit during 12-hour night shifts, including rhythm interpretation and response to telemetry alarms.
- Administer and manage IV therapies and medications, including heparin drips, TPN, and PCA, while monitoring for adverse reactions and documenting care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and wound care) to develop and implement patient care plans; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs and lab results, and intervene as ordered; ensure patient safety and fall precautions; assist with activities of daily living as needed (2-assist to bathroom, etc.).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC; ensure compliance with unit policies and hospital protocols.
- Participate in routine unit activities and respond to changes in patient condition; uphold infection control standards and patient privacy.

Requirements
- Licensure: KS RN or Compact RN license; ACLS & BLS certifications.
- Experience: 2+ years of recent Telemetry experience in a hospital setting (within last 18 months).
- Clinical background: Experience on General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, and Orthopedics; familiarity with cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones.
- Technical skills: Proficient with telemetry rhythm interpretation; skilled with heparin drips, TPN, PCA.
- Floats and schedule: Ability to float to all acute care units as needed; available for 3x12 night shifts; weekend requirements: every other weekend; holidays as needed.
- Other: EPIC experience or willingness to learn quickly; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
