Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date: 08/03/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay range: $2,284–$2,382. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Setting: hospital ICU. This travel opportunity is through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The role involves adult critical care in a high-acuity unit with potential to float as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult ICU patients, including neuro/medical, CTICU, and trauma populations, following established protocols and care plans.
- Monitor hemodynamics, ventilator parameters, labs, and telemetry; respond to changes in patient status and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, with attention to high-risk medications and safety checks.
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record for orders, documentation, and communication; participate in rounds and care coordination activities.
- Manage specialty equipment and therapies common to ICU care (e.g., CRRT with Prismaflex, ICP monitoring, ventriculostomy, and targeted temperature management as applicable).
- Maintain compliance with credentialing, licensure, and hospital policies; float to other units as needed per unit policy and assignment requirements.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license with Nursys verification; current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- 2+ years of ICU experience required; 4–5 years ICU experience preferred
- REQUIRED travel experience; EPIC EMR experience
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- RTO (Request Time Off) must be included at time of submission
- Ability to work in a high-acuity ICU environment and to float to other units as needed (excluding Behavioral and ER per assignment rules)
