Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines while using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications as prescribed, document interventions, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely discharge planning; provide patient and family education as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with nursing practice standards and hospice/home health policies; ensure accurate and complete documentation.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in labor and delivery, obstetrics, hospice, or home health settings; travel experience preferred
- Ability to work nights in a hospice/home health environment; reliable transportation may be required
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
