Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Travel) in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 10/05/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range of $2,718 to $2,837 per week with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12 nights). Work in a short-term acute care setting that provides obstetric care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients and families across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases.
- Circulate for C-sections and participate in perinatal emergencies as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Assess maternal and fetal status, monitor amniotic fluid, vaginal bleeding, and fetal well-being; evaluate pain control and support alternative analgesia as needed.
- Initiate and update individualized care plans in collaboration with obstetric, anesthesia, neonatology, and ancillary staff.
- Assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor both maternal and fetal status during and after administration.
- Educate patients and families at all stages of perinatal care and support discharge planning and patient advocacy.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and adhere to unit policies and standards of practice.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or AWHONN required.
- EPIC experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to work a night shift in a fast-paced obstetric unit and to respond effectively to perinatal emergencies.
- Must be able to practice within the scope of the L&D specialty and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
