Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (ER) in Utica, New York. This travel assignment starts 06/22/2026 for a 13-week contract in a hospital ED setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED for diverse age groups, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and risk reduction
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and assist with rapid-sequence intubation or related emergent procedures as assigned
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EPIC EMR; communicate with physicians, APPs, and multidisciplinary teammates
- Participate in fast-paced care for common ED presentations (stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, respiratory distress) and support code/critical events as needed
- Ensure patient safety, accurate charting, infection control, and appropriate pain management and discharge planning
Requirements
- Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC required
- ED experience: 2+ years in Emergency Department; some pediatric experience; travel experience preferred
- Education: RN degree; ED-specific practice competency
- EMR: Proficiency with EPIC or demonstrated EMR experience
- Driver’s license and address must match demographics; willingness to provide travel details; RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission
- Ability to float as needed within the ED and adapt to high-acuity patient needs
