Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel) in Utica, New York. Start date 07/13/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,250–$2,455 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is Night, 12-hour shifts (2x3 Nights). Work setting is a hospital ED as a travel assignment. Local candidates within 75 miles may be eligible for the local rate. RTO requests must be included at submission.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, patient-centered care to ED patients across ages, including triage, assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications, fluids, and interventions per physician orders; monitor responses and adjust care as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, radiology, and case management to coordinate patient care; participate in handoffs and care planning.
- Document thoroughly in EPIC EMR; ensure accurate, timely charting and support data collection for quality and safety initiatives.
- Float to designated ED areas as needed; respond to emergencies, manage trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac events; utilize specialty equipment (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun) as assigned.
- Uphold high standards of patient safety, infection control, and compassionate care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license; Nursys license verification; ability to hold multiple RN licenses as applicable.
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS; NIHSS; TNCC required to be in hand.
- Education: RN by credential (degree not specified in notes); 2+ years ED experience with some pediatric exposure; travel experience required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years ED experience; pediatric exposure; travel assignment experience preferred.
- Additional: Current driver’s license with address matching demographics; EPIC EMR experience; ability to float; strong critical thinking and communication skills; able to work in a high-stress ED setting.
