Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring of ER patients
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform necessary invasive procedures within scope
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and other team members to prioritize care and ensure patient safety
- Document patient care accurately and maintain complete and up-to-date medical records
- Prepare patients for treatment and coordinate transfers or admissions as needed
- Float to Long Term Care or ICU departments as required and support cross-functional teamwork during peak periods
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license to practice in Hawaii (or eligible to practice in Hawaii)
- Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience
- Ability to work variable shifts, including 12-hour shifts, and meet the target start date
- Willingness to float to Long Term Care or ICU as needed
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
