Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ER patients in alignment with the nursing process and standards of care.
- Collect relevant data, assess patient status, and develop and implement an individualized care plan.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and provide continuous monitoring; respond to changes in patient condition.
- Triage patients, manage emergencies, perform CPR/BLS as needed, and coordinate care with physicians and the interprofessional team.
- Document thoroughly in the EMR (EPIC) and participate in effective shift handoffs; contribute to discharge planning and patient education.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff as assigned; promote a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (Oregon) or appropriate state of assignment.
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS certification required.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- Minimum two years of recent RN experience in an acute care setting.
- BSN preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts and commit to a 13-week travel assignment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a rural, critical access hospital environment.
