Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients on a rotating 12-hour schedule
- Perform comprehensive assessments and document findings in the electronic medical record
- Administer medications and monitor infusion therapies, including telemetry where required
- Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, and promptly escalate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines to implement and adjust care plans
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and ensure safety and infection control standards
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license required; must apply for temporary and permanent positions at time of offer
- 1–3 years of related work experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification required; CPR-AHA accepted
- EMR experience and basic computer skills essential
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts; weekends and holidays required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local travelers accepted
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions acceptable); flu vaccine required (medical exemptions acceptable)
