Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care for adult patients on the Med Surg Telemetry unit, including rhythm monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Administer medications, assessments, and timely documentation; respond to patient needs and changes in condition
- Collaborate with the care team, including Charge Nurse, physicians, and ancillary staff, to coordinate care plans
- Float to like units and overflow areas as required; maintain competency across Telemetry units
- Participate in onboarding tests and competency assessments as part of orientation
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (ACLS AHA required)
- AHABLS certification current
- Ability to float to MS Tele floors and overflow areas
- Pass telemetry and medication-related tests during onboarding (one attempt only), with preparation supported by provided study materials
