Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical and postoperative spine/orthopedic patients, with emphasis on Med/Surg care
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, and develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, monitor for adverse reactions, and document in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in rounds, and assist with discharge planning and patient education
- Ensure safe patient care and infection control, respond to clinical changes or emergencies, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Colorado RN license
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
- Spine/Orthopedic postoperative patient experience with a Med/Surg focus
- Education: Graduation from an approved RN program
- Ability to work in a hospital setting as a travel assignment; location-based requirements apply (radius rule: traveler address must be at least 65 miles away from the facility; local travelers will not be considered)
