Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and case cart duties following established procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment used in a trauma center environment.
- Assemble instrument trays and manage instrument inventory to support operative needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and traceability for sterilization cycles and case carts.
- Work independently with minimal orientation and be flexible to overtime or weekend coverage as needed.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards; participate in ongoing process improvement activities.
Requirements
- Certification: CBSPB or HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) required.
- Experience: Prior work in a trauma center environment.
- Availability for Day shift with occasional weekend commitment; willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Strong decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and case cart skills.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
