Responsibilities
- Provide Physical Therapy Assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist in an LTAC setting, including evaluation and ongoing treatment under the plan of care
- Implement and progress therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ROM, strength, and functional mobility activities
- Apply select modalities and assistive devices as prescribed by the supervising PT
- Document patient progress, goals, and any changes in the plan of care in the medical record per policy and regulatory requirements
- Monitor patient safety, infection control, and equipment use; ensure a safe, patient-centered therapy environment
- Collaborate with the physical therapy team, nursing staff, and families to support discharge planning and goal attainment

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in North Carolina or eligibility as required by state regulations
- Experience in long-term acute care or skilled nursing rehabilitation settings preferred
- Ability to work a 35-hour week with shifts scheduled 08:00–16:30
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform duties under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist and within scope of practice
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and adapt to a care setting with diverse clinical needs
