Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER in Templeton, California. This travel assignment is for 13 weeks in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting, starting 09/21/2026. Weekly pay ranges from $1,732 to $1,812 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is night, 3x12 hours, typically 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. This ER position supports acute care services and requires current RN licensure, demonstrated critical care competencies, and EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive RN assessments for emergency department patients and develop/adjust care plans
- Triage, monitor, and respond to patient conditions; identify and escalate urgent issues promptly
- Administer medications and treatments per hospital policy, following the 6 rights of medication administration
- Recognize and respond to emergencies (Code Blue, other emergent situations), participate in resuscitation as needed
- Document care clearly in the electronic medical record (EPIC); ensure accurate reporting to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, unit staff, and ancillary teams; support discharge planning and patient education
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- One year of recent acute care RN experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- NIHSS certification/experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work night shift and manage patient care in a fast-paced ED environment
