Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) in Atlanta, GA, starting 09/21/2026 for a 16-week assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $1,614 to $1,682 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is Night, 12-hour shifts (12x3). This assignment takes place in a high-acuity, surgical-trauma med-surg unit within a hospital setting. EPIC experience is required; BLS is required and ACLS is preferred. Candidates must be willing to work given shifts with no block scheduling (NO RTO).

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult patients on a high-acuity surgical-trauma med-surg unit, including post-operative and trauma cases.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, interpret assessments, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Document in EPIC, maintain accurate care plans, and participate in handoffs between ED, admitting, and on-unit teams.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement plans of care, manage pain control, wound care, IV therapy, and specimen collection as needed.
- Maintain a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio on the unit; coordinate with nursing support techs, phlebotomists, and the night unit secretary to ensure smooth operations, admissions, and discharges.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, facilitate patient mobility, and provide patient and family education.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in med-surg, surgical trauma, or a closely related high-acuity unit
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a high-acuity surgical-trauma environment
- Willingness to work on a unit with frequent handoffs between ED and admitting teams
- No RTO during the assignment period
