Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned patient group according to established standards and the nursing process
- Collect relevant data, assess patient status, and identify care needs
- Develop and implement an individualized plan of care; administer treatments and medications as prescribed
- Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team and supervise appropriate nursing personnel
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed
- Participate in discharge planning, patient education, and transitions of care
- Document care activities accurately and ensure patient safety and a healing environment
Requirements
- Licenses/Certificates: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (California) – Required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR – Required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field (Med Surg/acute care) – Required
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
- General: Ability to work in a hospital Med Surg setting and to fulfill the night shift schedule
