Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed external beam radiation therapy to patients per treatment plans
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot linear accelerator and related equipment; ensure accurate dose delivery
- Position and immobilize patients, verify identity and treatment site; ensure safety and patient comfort
- Review and verify treatment plans with the radiation oncologist; perform quality checks and report discrepancies
- Monitor patients during treatment; respond to adverse events and maintain infection control practices
- Document treatment delivery and patient response in the medical record; collaborate with oncology team, dosimetry, and support staff
Requirements
- ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (required)
- 2+ years of Radiation Therapy experience; Proton and/or CT/SIM experience considered a plus
- Ability to report to multiple sites within the assignment region
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and patient care standards
- Commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting
