Responsibilities
- Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, gait, and functional independence
- Reassess progress regularly, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes in accordance with standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and provide patient and family education
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and state regulations
- Promote safe, ethical practice and infection control within the clinical environment
Requirements
- Active Maryland physical therapy license or eligibility to practice in Maryland
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- 1+ year of physical therapy experience in rehabilitation or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a travel assignment and adapt to a skilled nursing facility environment
