Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients, including airway management, bronchodilator therapy, aerosolized meds, and airway clearance techniques.
- Operate and monitor mechanical ventilation using equipment such as Hamilton C3 and T1 ventilators; manage NIV with devices like V60 NIV, Airvo 2, and HFNC; adjust ventilator settings in collaboration with physicians and the ICU team.
- Support external transports for adult critical care patients as needed.
- Collaborate with Pulmonary Critical Care physicians and Hospitalist services; participate in unit protocols for bronchodilator therapy, NIV, and airway clearance.
- Document patient care and interventions in the EMR (Epic) and ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes.
- Provide care across ICU and ED floors and contribute to patient-specific respiratory plans for all age groups.

Requirements
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications per program requirements
- Neonatal/Pediatric NICU/PICU experience preferred; role involves significant pediatric involvement
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Minimum 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience
- Ability to work nights and participate in a 20-week assignment with the scheduling needs of the unit
