Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to assigned patients under supervision of registered nurses and physicians, using sound clinical judgment.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with orders and policy; monitor for effects and adverse reactions.
- Perform routine assessments, document findings, and communicate changes promptly to the care team.
- Assure patient safety and comfort; assist with examinations, procedures, and basic treatments as directed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, families, and caregivers to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, utilize appropriate equipment, and follow infection control and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Licenses/Certifications: Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License; current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association, with renewal every two years.
- Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge/Skills: Proficiency in practical nursing principles and skills, basic understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines, ability to communicate clearly, follow written and verbal instructions, and prioritize/solve problems in fast-paced clinical settings.
- Eligibility to work in the listed setting and comply with facility policies.
