Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients following established standards of care and the nursing process
- Collect and analyze relevant data, formulate a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Coordinate care with other disciplines and supervise activities of various levels of nursing staff
- Promote a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment; provide patient and family education and directly convey health information to the treatment team
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and contribute to care that supports optimal patient outcomes
- Delegate appropriately and collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to support safe care delivery
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California) or as required by the state of assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; CPR certification may be required or acceptable per policy
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the field; acute care/Med Surg experience preferred
- BSN is preferred
- Experience with EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems is required
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced care environment
