Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy assistant services to LTAC/SNF residents under appropriate supervision and in accordance with the plan of care.
- Implement and progress treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility activities.
- Document patient status, progress notes, and daily treatment logs in alignment with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with transfers, ADLs, wheelchair management, and wheelchair/ambulatory equipment as indicated.
- Collaborate with the physical therapy team, nursing staff, and referring physicians to coordinate care and support discharge planning.
- Ensure patient safety, proper body mechanics, infection control, and equipment upkeep during therapy sessions.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maryland or eligibility to practice.
- Ability to work in a LTAC/Skilled Nursing Facility setting on a travel assignment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills suitable for interdisciplinary care.
- Availability to start on 12/01/2026 and commit to the 13-week contract.
- Capacity to work the scheduled 35 hours per week within the 08:00–16:30 shift window.
