Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients across service lines including ortho, neuro, urology, general, and thoracic.
- Scrub, circulate, and assist the surgical team; maintain sterile technique and correct instrument counts; support efficient turnover between cases.
- Monitor patients intraoperatively, administer medications per protocol, and communicate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.
- Prepare and manage OR equipment and supplies; support robotic-assisted procedures using XI robotic systems.
- Document intraoperative events accurately and participate in post-operative handoffs and care planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Ability to work in a busy OR with ortho, neuro, urology, general, and thoracic cases
- Availability to work 4x10-hour day shifts and to fulfill holiday requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility to practice
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgery is preferred
