Occupational Therapist needed for a travel assignment in Delta, Colorado. Start date 06/18/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 40 hours per week on a Days shift. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations, interpret test results, and develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Implement therapy programs to develop or restore physical or cognitive functioning; address activities of daily living, prevocational, vocational, and homemaking skills; supervise rehab aides and technicians.
- Promote maximum independence by tailoring therapies to the patient’s abilities and interests; participate in discharge planning with the care team.
- Prepare patients for return to work by advising employers, identifying potential job accommodations, retraining, and coordinating return-to-work strategies.
- Document patient care in charts and department records; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed; uphold infection-control and safety standards.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and appropriate use of assistive devices; contribute to ongoing care coordination and follow-up planning.
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapy License issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
- Valid NBCOT certification/registration
- BLS certification (required)
- Previous occupational therapy experience preferred
- Ability to work in a patient-care setting; withstand physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently; long periods of standing, walking, and sitting as needed
