Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
This travel RN position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical / Surgical (Med Surg) specialty, located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Start date: April 20, 2026. Duration: 8 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 Days. Weekly pay: $1,532–$1,627 per week. Setting: hospital-based medical/surgical unit. This assignment is travel and temporary in nature.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical/surgical patients, including trauma and neurotrauma-related cases as applicable.
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans and coordinate discharges.
- Assist with procedures, maintain sterile technique, perform wound care, and uphold infection control standards.
- Prioritize patient safety, respond to clinical changes promptly, educate patients and families, and ensure a smooth transition to next levels of care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia (or eligible multi-state licensure with Nursys verification)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surgical nursing experience; trauma/neurological trauma exposure preferred
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Certification Card on file; ability to provide required documentation (Skills Checklist, References, Nursys License Verification)
- Completion of an approved nursing education program; ability to meet assignment and facility requirements
- No time off requests during the assignment (NO RTO) and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting
