Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient surgical and perioperative patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient flow.
- Manage preoperative, intraoperative, and PACU phase II workflows; participate in moderate sedation as appropriate and within policy.
- Monitor patients, document assessment data in the electronic health record, and respond to changes in patient condition with critical thinking and clinical judgment.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the care team; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and appropriate education.
- Maintain a safe, healing environment; delegate tasks appropriately and support team members in delivering high-quality care.

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) – Required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS – Required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS – Required
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; outpatient surgery/perioperative experience strongly preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
- Special requirements: Endoscopy experience; comfort with pre-op and PACU phase II workflows; EPIC experience recommended
- Licensure and location: Current nursing license, ability to work in the listed setting (outpatient/perioperative care)
