Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric/gynecologic patients following established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and reevaluate progress.
- Monitor patient status, vitals, and overall condition; respond to changes in clinical status.
- Supervise and direct activities of licensed and other nursing staff; coordinate care with multiple disciplines.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other care team members to ensure safe, effective patient care plans.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in daily nursing activities; document clearly and accurately.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital setting
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment
- Strong communication skills and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team
