Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or an assigned group, following the nursing process and established standards of care
- Collect and analyze data to determine diagnoses and care needs; develop and implement a care plan
- Coordinate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families
- Delegate appropriately and supervise activities of other nursing staff as assigned
- Provide clear health information to patients, families, and treatment teams
- Maintain a safe, healing environment and comply with relevant policies and procedures
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; CPR certification acceptable per policy
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in an acute care field
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be able to float to Medical–Surgical (MS) and Telemetry units
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting on a travel assignment
