Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients across age groups within the operating room, including intraoperative patient care and coordination with the surgical team.
- Function as OR Circulator: maintain the sterile field, assist with positioning and draping, and hand instruments to the surgeon.
- Monitor patient status during surgery, respond to intraoperative changes, and document intraoperative nursing actions.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and scrub staff to plan and execute safe perioperative care.
- Ensure equipment readiness, manage specimens as assigned, and maintain accurate perioperative documentation.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements; protect patient privacy and dignity.
Requirements
- Active California RN license.
- OR Circulator experience or intraoperative nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work 4x10-hour daytime shifts; travel-ready and able to operate in a perioperative setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with facility policies.
