Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to PCU patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and administer medications per orders
- Manage ventilatory support capabilities as appropriate (BiPAP) and assist with related respiratory care
- Support patients with chest tubes and PICC line care as directed by unit protocols
- Draw labs and obtain specimens per physician orders; perform routine patient care tasks within scope
- Float to ICU and other inpatient units as needed; call consults independently and participate in code events when required
- Communicate clearly with physicians, families, and the care team; follow unit policies and safety standards

Requirements
- Active KS RN license or Compact RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIHF (as required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience
- Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing labs
- Comfortable floating to ICU and inpatient units; able to work independently, call own consults, and participate in codes
- Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 experience with pacer wires preferred
- Credentialing requirements: CBC, DS, and lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
